My Account - Year of death of assessable spouse

If making a tax return on MyAccount for an assessable spouse who has died during the year in question, (Revenue having been notified), do I just include all of the income for both spouses for the entire year and let Revenue allocate as appropriate?

While there is a window for an assessable spouse to show a change of status (ie "widowed"), there is no window for a spouse to show the equivalent change of status.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

When filing a tax return for a deceased assessable spouse, you should include all income for both spouses for the entire year. Revenue will then allocate the income appropriately based on the circumstances. Since you have already notified Revenue of the death, they will take this into account during the assessment. It’s important to ensure that you indicate the change in status for yourself as "widowed" on your return. If you have any specific concerns or need further clarification, it may be helpful to contact Revenue directly for guidance.
