Emigrating Soon - How best to proceed with sale of firearms legally

Hi All,

I am owner of a Nice CZ527 and Lamber 12 Bore Shotgun with all sorts of accessories, including scopes, targets, ammo, etc. Neither have been fired in over 10 years, and theyve been stored in a safe for the period.

Now I want to sell everything as soon as possible, due to imminent emigration:

The safe

The rifle

The shotgun

Scope

Accessories etc.

Can anyone advise how to go about this in an organised and legal manner? Price achieved matters less than finding them a good safe home. If there needed I can post photos and provide a lot more details in a follow up post.

You have 2 options, you could list the items on the sales forum(read the charter first, in particular rule 14, that forum had some very specific criteria for adverts), which would likely get you the best price but it's unlikely to be quick.

The quickest option is to sell them to a dealer or put them up for sale through a dealer.

You won't make as much from the sale but they will be secure and it's as fast as dropping in to your local firearms dealer.

Accessories you should be able sell easily here.

Shotgun/Rifle i would sell via dealer as license delays could cause you issues if need to be gone in a month or so.
