[Admin Required] Appealing a Ban in CA/IMHO Forum

I would like to appeal a 6 month ban in CA/IMHO forum by mod @Leg End Reject

In the Immigration thread, I posted about an asylum seeker with a deportation order now trying for citizenship, I posted the source and when I went back to try to add the url link as when on the phone it would not work then the ban had kicked in so no access

The topic of citizenships and fake passports was being discussed in the thread , it was not off topic, it was relevant to the thread and discussion

I engaged further with the mod and was told "he's an illegal immigrant, not an asylum seeker"

I cannot see how it was a "dump" with source, quote and opinion provided

I have been careful in what I post and reply on that thread, and how often I do, after previous mod interactions but it seems no matter what I post, I feel a witch hunt

It was about a failed claimer applying for citizenship as the thread was discussing citizenship, it wasn't a random crime link, tbf I've been careful and limiting in my posting but I'm feeling that anything I post is being picked on, read the discussion flow of the thread please

Again, you have been warned about this before and it has been explained via PM that you must add a link. Even ignoring that it was just another dump.

You can appeal in DPR if you wish.

My post and quote was about citizenship which was being discussed on the thread maybe go back 2 or 3 pages but it was recent

Leg will you please look and reconsider this as it was about citizenship of a failed asylum seeker, how was it a dump , I would add the link url once I could but as I am banned I cannot access, surely an asylum seeker with a deportation order wanting citizenship could be discussed, you can see I am posting less in that thread and careful of what I am posting, please reconsider

He's an illegal immigrant, not an asylum seeker. The article clearly states he was "underground". There’s no reason why you couldn't have added a link at the time of posting and you have form for not adding links when the article you quote contradicts your post or is years old.

You've already been given with a chance with your last 6 month ban so take it to DPR as previously advised.

He had a deportation order so is illegal, I am confused, surely this can be talked about in an immigration thread

I'm afraid that I am in complete agreement with the moderator.

The immigration thread has a very clear rule against dumping which you've broken on more than one occasion. Pasting a load of text with or without a link is not discussion. You're not contributing anything original and it's just lazy, honestly. There are of course exceptions such as news about changing immigration laws, overall trends and the like but this easily qualifies as dumping.

This is your tenth sanction in the past half year and most of them are for precisely this - dumping links with no discussion or effort.

I strongly recommend you stop doing this if you want to keep posting here. The fact that this is the tenth warning you've had since 11 February shows great leniency and patience on behalf of the mods. Saying that you're the victim of a "witch hunt" isn't fair to them.

You are welcome to request an admin to review this.

Well the goal posts certainly moves in regard to "dumping"

How is providing the source, quote and opinion on the matter considered dumping, how is discussing a failed asylum seeker with a deportation order looking for citizenship in the Immigration thread which shows again how flawed our system is lazy and not contributing. That thread discusses many aspects connected with immigration, recent there was talk about the Nigerians who were deported on a flight but wanting to return, multinational companies here and their employment etc.,

Can I ask did you even read the post I was sanctioned for @ancapailldorcha because going on what you said above I am at a lost on your response, did you just project your idea on what should be discussed in that thread, the good positive spins on anything immigration related, you think a failed asylum seeker with a deportation order looking for citizenship is not worthy of discussion, would this not count as a topic of "immigration laws" that needs looking at and fair for discussion

It is a contentious and emotive subject but shutting down certain aspects of the discussion without valid legitimate reason just shows power trip egomaniac behaviour
