What brand of popcorn is the healthiest? I eat it daily and am concerned about the type and amount of salt being used. I know tesco brand is regular table salt, they confirmed it to me.

Buy kernels, you can control the amount of salt you add. Healthfood shop or asian shops are the only places I can currently find them. Learn to pop them in a pot with oil, or find some gizmo if you want to use the microwave or an airpopper.

I have done that. Even bought a microwave popcorn maker, it's just very hard to flavour the microwave popcorn.

If the worst thing you're eating daily is popcorn then relax and enjoy it

I eat the keoghs honey and seasalt regularly, that stuff is next level

If you want to do flavouring, you need to break out the oils and butters to help seasonings to stick, also sugar syrup. Unfortunately, the most delicious ways to make popcorn are not in line with eating it every day. Popcorn is mostly a vehicle for other things (it is one of my absolutely favourite snacks and goes great with sweet and savoury options)

I tried a few popcorn tricks from that thread, but making a big batch ahead and keeping it warm works best for me. If you're planning a movie night or party, sizzleyourevents.com has cool ideas to add a popcorn bar or little snack stations that make things easier. Way better than keeping people waiting while more popcorn pops mid-movie.

All popcorn is essentially the same but all toppings and additives are not. The healthiest is plain, air poped. A little salt is enough on top for me, or a caramel sauce, for a movie. Butter sugar and golden syrup in a small pot for 2 or 3 minutes, while the corn is popping.

For lunch, pop enough for a couple of days and store airtight when fully cool. add salt each morning when going into your reusable container. Doesn't get any easier than that.

I have to add salt to even the saltiest of supermarket popcorn. Same with crisps. They've ruined everything by taking out salt/sugar/vegetable oil.
