Correct cable & breaker size

Hi all, Is 4mm sq. cable OK for 16a blue surface mounted round socket - it's for a 180 amp inverter mma/stick welder, or would 6mm be more suitable. The breaker is 32 amp - should it be upgraded to 40 or 50 amp

    Thanks.

The questions you are asking suggest that this work is beyond your ability. Strongly suggest that you get a professional to look at this.

Example: A 4 mm sq cable can not be adequately protected by an MCB rated at 32A yet you are wondering if the rating should be higher?
