Hi all, I am taking a look at revising my stereo setup and am trying to weigh up the option of going with a bluetooth transmitter to wireless speakers in place of wired speakers.

The main purpose of the stereo is playing vinyl through a pro-ject turntable and marantz amp. Previously I had wired free-standing speakers connected to the amp. A new approach will be to connect a bluetooth transmitter to the amp out and then have bluetooth bookshelf speakers.

I read a lot online about loss of fidelity when transmitting over BT, does anyone have experience with this?

A pro of the new setup is not having to run wires around the room. It would also let me connect the tv to the speakers I think? Or would latency be an issue?

I sold my old speakers so will be getting new wired our wireless speakers either way.
