Blocking up windows

Bungalow built 2000. Cavity wall on gable end, probably with aero board in cavity. Size of windows 600 w x 650 h. Height from ground 1.5 m. After job, tiled inside, cement rendered outside and cavity filled with pumped insulation to top up.

Reason for the requirement is to create much needed extra wall space in a very small kitchen that is open to the living room. I realise it would take away natural light but artificial light would be incorporated to compensate.

Would this be an easy job for a builder?

Yes, there no real complications, any competent tradesman would do this no problem

Make sure you are still in compliance with building regulations regarding minimum light and ventilation requirements.
