Tried to book flight, see flight on app but no confirmation email, card not charged

    Hi guys,

    I tried to book some flights on the TAP Air Portugal App.

    The app was extremely glitchy.

    I got through to the process payment screen, authorised via push notifications from my banking app, back to the airline app then the screen just froze. I left it for 3 or 4 minutes but no movement so then I cancelled on the airline app, was informed this would cancel my booking so I said fine.

    I now see that I have the flights confirmed on my app however I have no confirmation email and my card has not been charged.

    My bank is PTSB/payment by debit card and have never in thousands of online bookings had an issue with payments not processing and have booked with this airline on their glitchy website before.

    Checked the PTSB app and open 24 and I have no pending transactions.

    Checked my spam folder and no confirmation email in there.

    Any advice on what to do now? Don't want to rock up to airport in case I get refused for non payment or charged more. Don't want to rebook in case I get charged double.

    If the payment doesn't feed through to the airline will my app booking eventually disappear and I can try rebook in the future?

    Crisis averted, or so I think.

    Shouldn't believe the bad press on Trip Advisor and Reddit. TAP do actually answer their phones.

    Nice chap said he saw a reservation but the payment wasn't processed. If the bank don't pay in the next 24 hours it will cancel the transaction.

    Think I will just let this happen and rebook on the website on Friday or Saturday.
