I've been looking for a salad recipe using cucumber.

Some youtube vids on this looked good but it uses and ingredient called "gochugaru", some kind of korean chilli spice.

I've been to every Asian and Halhal store, but cannot get this.

So I sub using paprika and cayenne pepper, and it's just okay.

Anyone make this and how does it turn out?

Or I'm open to alternate recipes for cucumber?

It's gouchujang you are looking for.

Should be in every Asian store (but you won't find it in Arabic stores).

Oh, right. It's Korean red pepper flakes. Also available in every Asian store.

I buy it by the kg and use it all the time in almost everything. https://www.jiajiamarket.com/product-page/korean-red-pepper-powder-gochugaru-1kg
