so Squonk has banned me, and deleted my post from the Liveline thread,

My post was, in reference to Duffys pronunciation of Iran,

    I commented that,

“Telling you how he pronounced it would only result in another banning from this thread”

And squonk duly banned me, however next 2 posts where posts clearly mocking how Duffy pronounced Iran, and these have been left up.
querying this with Squonk lead to being told,

Report them if you want, I’m not discussing this with you.
im appealing the ban, and also the unbalanced modding

I feel Squonk is selecting my post to ban while ignoring others

Is that the extent of your PMs with the mod? Did you report the other posts you're referring to?

My 2 cents. I'll reverse the warning. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.

John posts something that's actioned by a mod.

He or another poster both quibble this on the thread e.g. Mary posts this is unfair and they would pick up a warning due to querying the mod action on the thread. That's a longstanding norm on boards

In the case of this DRP, I'd put this as a comment/gripe* rather than something a specific mod has actually done. If someone kept going on about it, they'd asked to get back on topic and if they didn't they'd likely get a warning. *Might it annoy a mod? Sure, so keep it sensible. Sometimes users are annoyed too and I just have to let it slide because not everything is actionable, ime and we've to get on with our days.

I'm aware the JD thread is now closed.
