Phone / eSIM / Luggage Tracker (Bluetooth or GPS) query

I'm only just starting to look into suitable eSIMs and trackers that would be compatible with my Xiaomi phone before I go travelling in a few months, only to discover that my phone isn't eSIM compatible and the top two products for trackers that come up in searches, Airtag and Samsung Smarttag2, aren't compatible with my phone either.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a phone that wouldn't cost more that €300 that would be eSIM compatible, and also compatible with a decent tracker. I want to be able to place it in my luggage for long haul flights that that aren't direct flights, so luggage will be moved around from one flight to another while I get connecting flights.

Am I as well to get a compatible Samsung Galaxy and get the Smarttag2 or is there a good GPS tracker out there that would work with any android phone?

    Any advice appreciated!

    Something about sandwiches

Trade in your phone for €200 off a Pixel 9a with Vodafone.

No need to move to Vodafone either. Can get the phone and stay on your current network.

Every acceptable phone gets a minimum of €200 off, so even if your phone is worth €1 you'll get €201 discount. Just depends if your Xiaomi is accepted, and the offer ends on Monday.
