    Hi all,

My father recently bought a car in the North and is in the process of trying to VRT it. He's run into a problem though. He has no Certificate of Conformity (COC) or Export document for the car - The car is originally Japanese.

We've tried contacting COC retrieval companies, but none that we've found cover Japan - and in order to get a COC from the MLIT in Japan, we need the export certificate.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Is the car registered in Northern Ireland on UK plates?

You don’t need any Japanese documents then. Does the V5 show the Co2 & Nox?

No Nox on the V5 unfortunately. Won't even allow us to take the maximum penalty on the chin, they want the COC.

Export certificates are irrelevant. They won’t contain any emissions info. Whats the make, model, and engine code?

I can’t find the Nox for it unfortunately. Its definitely 0.013 grams but I can’t find a Nox sheet with that model

Just FYI the model name in Japan is ABA‑3CBWSF or ABA-3CBWSC
