I'm very tempted by it. The gameplay sounds interesting, but I fear it would devolve into what usually puts me off games with people management, they get annoying! I shall wait a while and see.

Play it on Game pass . Won't regret it .

Got just past the point of making the first alter. Finding the story pretty interesting so far, kinda hoping the management doesn't get too overwhelming, I dont mind a bit but if it gets too much I can see myself dropping it.

Yeah, good call. Just unlocked the second Alter, picked the Scientist. Early days, but it has me interested in seeing where it goes. Like DeSelby83, I hope it doesnt overly lean into the managing emotions side. Time shall tell. Looking at the current options, theres one Alter that indicates it won't be plain sailing!

Started playing this today on Game Pass. Enjoying it so far. I just made my first Alter and we set off in the base.

It has inspiration from Satisfactory when you have to build resource miners and connect power cables. But on a very "lite" scale. Fast travel helps cut out lots of the over and back too.

It's me and 4 me's at the moment. Things are getting a bit much and the sun's a coming! Not sure how much time I have, on day 26. I feel close to failure and what happens after that will determine my future with this game. But, I may pull it off. The Alters are not too annoying yet. I'm still interested in where it's going, and if I don't die and get to Act 2, it'll depend on what's then needed. It's really good at what it's doing though, I'll give it that. Unique idea and well implemented. Looks and runs well on my 3060 which is always a bonus. Storage management, specifically organics, is my biggest gripe at the moment though. I've expanded once, and it wasn't a significant increase tbh. Hopefully some of the upgrades will do something to help, but I feel it's deliberately small to push the management side a bit more.

It's making me want a "just me" version where I can automate stuff and not have to worry about Alters! Just over 6 hours played so will give it a while longer and see where the near future brings me. Always outrunning the sun, could be a endless mode!

I've a 3060 ti and it looks lovely and runs great on it . I downloaded it on Series X but doesn't look as good on that . But maybe that's because xbox on a LG CS vs PC on a LG C4

I survived! Just about, had to do about an hour of irradiated overtime on the final day to get enough Organics for travel, but got there.

So far, I've the Tech, Scientist, Botanist, and Miner Jan's, and by does one of them have some serious issues! Think I've resolved that though, hopefully. I might eject the Jan in question of he keeps at it!

Second area is bigger and with a new obstacle. Make sure you've enough space to auto collect all your buildings/pylons when leaving! Total size of what is to collect is shown when outside and bring up the map.

I saw a article talking about a demo for the alters on ps5 but i can't find it, was it removed when full games released or maybe just US?

There seems to have been one, but yeah looks like it's gone now. Couldn't find it on pc or console.

Ok, think I'm done with this. I'm liking nearly everything about the game, except the Alters. Well, most of them. I understand why they do and say what they do, but I'm actually sick of dealing with them. I've got exploration to do mf'ers, shut the hell up and do your goddamn job! I'm an unsocial creature IRL, so this game stresses me out somewhat, and reminds me I'd be terrible in management. I do also realise that this is the whole premise of the game, but I was hoping it wouldn't be as… heavy. The exploration, crafting, base mangement, etc, love all that. Great idea. But lemme know when ye do DLC where it's just me and the wheel! Don't even want phonecalls, can't trust any of them!

If dealing with people and the potential fallout, even if you're limited with trying to guide the path, then you might like this. The gameplay itself is interesting and it does look really good to me, the world and technology is cool. And while the base building/resource gathering/target achieving is the majority of the game, the Alters and their relationships/motivations are the main focus and it's not lighthearted, to say the least. Again, I understand why, but just not for me (I will try for "free" though!). It is really good at what it does.

I'm 6 days from sunrise and they are bickering with each other. 🤣

It's in a similar vein to frostpunk and this war of mine where they take you away from the core objective and frustrate you so you end up making snap emotional choices that then have additional consequences.

Really enjoying it though. It's like the movie Moon crossed with death stranding, satisfactory and this war of mine.

Just beat the sun rise by about 30 mins. Lads back in the base moaning about not having a social room or dumbbells FFS. I'm out risking my life building anchors and mining the last of the organics in a radiation storm.

hadn't played much in a week I was distracted trying source parts for new pc build and I come back and ironically enough the game is unstable as hell on PC game pass. Massive random frame drops no matter what the settings and it froze Pc at one stage . Anyone have any issues with performance the more alters you get ? Still loving the game . The scientist is a c**t

I think I might have to go back to go forwards! . Thought I had it all under control and then some lunatic decided perform an amputation on themselves and it has spiraled .
