Wee same 60 tractor that was lying outside as while starts up fine but clutch not working, wont go into gear while running so I move it by putting in gear when switched off and then starting it but still stuck, pedal only coming up a few inches

Any ideas on getting this sorted guys

Clutch is stuck to the flywheel I would think, can you get it up through the gears into a high gear and drive it while revving and dropping revs and keep jabbing the brakes when you are revving it to put pressure on the engine and clutch, keep the clutch pedal depressed also

Our MF699 does same if it sits.

It helps to leave it running for a while not in gear and get the flywheel good and hot. 20-30 mins @ 1200 rpm.
Then I run her in gear on the lane, depress clutch and stomp on breaks a few times, does the trick for me.

I’m not familiar with that tractor.
Are the clutch and brake pedal on the same shaft running across the tractor ?? Maybe the clutch isn’t stick but maybe a problem round that shaft.

You have some yard of tractors going by your posts over the last couple of years. How many in total do you have?

Not all mine but theres 14 there, I suppose with tractors they all went up in price so not so bad,

WWe bought an international 1255xl there that needs complete restoration and looking now for someone to do the work on it ....not easy getting anyone now

Try propping the clutch pedal down with a length of wood.

Then take off the starter motor, and get someone to help you by holding a solid bar up against the front of the flywheel ( now accessible with the starter removed)

You now hit the end of the bar a good wallop with a sledge, and this "should" shock the clutch plate free.

Worked for me years ago when the clutch on a JD 3140 rusted to the flywheel.

Out of interest, what else is in the collection, we would be enthusiasts as well. A similar quantity of vintage machines at home .
