Advice on correct ladder size for cleaning my gutters

Gutters are about 2.75m from the ground. There is an overhang of about 16 inches. Here's a crappy drawing to demonstrate.

My question is about the minimum ladder size I need. Does it have to be less than 2.7m in order to lean it against the wall under the gutter? Or should it be much longer? What would be the ideal height?

You can safely lean ladder against most gutters without damage. That being the case, the ladder should extend significantly above allowing you to safely grip ladder in front of you when at working height.

Have someone hold bottom of ladder also.

Just make sure that your ladder is long enough to reach the ground

Plastic gutters can be damaged with the weight of a ladder and person against them. Ideally the ladder should have a wide base, a standoff to rest the weight on the wall rather than the gutter and be long enough to be a bit higher than the gutter allowing for the angle of the ladder. A little over 3.5m with a suitable standoff.

I have a ladder standoff for jobs like this. Makes it far more secure. Here's one as an example:

A half decent stepladder is all you need for that height.

If memory serves me right the rule of thumb is that a ladder should be set at an angle of roughly 75 degrees and reach a minimum of one metre, in this case, above the gutter.
