I’ve been trying to buy along the green line for 6 months now, and it’s finally hit me that it’s probably not going to happen.

Everything that I’m interested in is already priced near the top of my budget (700k) and then goes for about 100k over asking. There are some places for around 600k but they are tiny and not worth it imo.

    • walking distance to luas - 20 mins is grand
    • Min 2 bed
    • Relatively nice house
    • Max 40 mins to city centre using public transport
    • Max 40 mins to sandyford using public transport
    • Good public transport

Been looking at places from around dundrum to Sandyford but probably have to go further out now. Cherrywood is one place that comes to mind but I’m afraid of it being a concrete jungle, I need walks, parks etc

    Anyone have any recs?

Consider ……. the North Side 😲

What is the hang up with the green line - some areas have buses that are just as functional as a form of public transport.

What about Clay Farm? There's a three bed on sale there for €695k and I doubt it'll go for much over the asking. The other estates around that area, the Gallops and Glenbourne, regularly have three beds for sale between €600k and €700k. It's only an extra 7 minutes on the Luas from Sandyford.
