Does it matter if I turn off the flow or return valve on radiators?

Hi,

One human reptile (no disrespect to the person) in the house wants the heating on in summer in one of the colder rooms in the house ....

So I'm turning off all the other rads in the gaff. I suspect one of the thermo valves isn't working (always on) but there are several old rads some with thermo valves on one side and old valve on the other or both sides (flow and return) with old valves ....

So does it matter which side I shut off to 0 or even if I do both, any issue with that ?

No, doesnt matter except if its the lockshield valve then it will need to be set back into its original position before the months which identify as an Irish winter (whichever the hell those are now). 🤔😃

Yeah I was thinking either of the valves shuts off the circuit of water ....

Im not going to do it myself but what are the risks of an air lock if valves are changed without bleeding the system ? I've heard it's a risk .... Is bleeding an entire house if there is an air lock a nightmare ?

I've always just closed off any of the TRV's and isolated as much as I can. No major issues with airlocks that way.
