Downloadfile.bin requests

For the past few days, I'm being inundated with requests to download a file called "downloadfile.bin" as I scroll through any page on boards.ie. I'm using the Firefox mobile browser and it only happens on this site.

It doesn't seem to matter where I click on the page and pops up regularly, sometimes twice in 5 seconds, sometimes once a minute. To my knowledge, I'm not clicking on anything that requires a download.

Can this be explained please and just what is in the file?

That's not coming from boards.ie, it's one of the ads. Do you have the full URL for the file?

How do I get that? Do I need to download it?

All I get is the prompt. I don't see any url.

I reluctantly downloaded it and got this:

That's a HTTP 204 response now, so the response has no content. It's most likely a configuration mistake on the ad side, @Boards.ie: Mike will need to block or report it to get it fixed.

@Spear thank you for highlighting. I will report this right away.

@machiavellianme are you still seeing this pop up? Our third party ad host has removed one of their demand partners from the ad stack to review the issue.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
