I noticed there's some 40th anniversary stuff going on so I watched both of these films again over the last day, and I curiously noted on Reddit that Bloodlust was much preferred of the two.
Perhaps it's my age but I really found the 1985 film to be superior in almost every way bar some aspects that did not age well. As a Castlevania fan I can see VHD was a clear inspiration for those series of games.
I'd be curious to get opinions from other boardsies on this.
