I’m just wondering what to do with old school books. The school doesn’t want them. Also now that free school books is meant to be in place I’m not sure anyone will want them. Any suggestions? My local charity shop doesn’t want them either. Thank you.

I'm afraid nobody will want them. Put them in the recycling.

Try posting them on local Facebook groups or community boards, some tutors or parents might still find them useful. If no takers, recycling may be the only option.

Some students want their own books, so definitely post on local FB or shop noticeboard.

My teen has just finished jnr cert and neighbour has taken their books for their child starting. They even offered me money which I refused of course.
