Bidding on two properties at the same time

I'm just wondering what people would say about this.

If one seller is dragging their feet, would it be okay to put a bid in on another property?

I'm thinking you could just withdraw from the other, if you went sale agreed on one.

You can pull out whenever you like until contracts are signed and the full 10% is paid.

Legally you can do it no problem - ethically, I guess that’s up to you. But I would make sure that the vendor or estate agent that you’re “sale agreed” with doesn’t get wind of it!

Can't see why you wouldn't. Sale agreed can fall through at any time. Only keeping your options open

It wasn't my intention to go Sale Agreed on two at the same time.

I do think that would be underhand.

    The question was about bidding.

No problem at all, why would anyone restrict themselves.

Would a seller only accept one bid from one buyer?

Have bid on 2 different properties with the same agent.

Absolutely bid on as many properties at once as you want. The chances of going sale agreed on multiple is fairly small.

The market is so crazy and prices so high…ethics have gone out the window. You can pull out whenever you want up to contracts. Don't hold yourself back waiting for a seller of one to come through.

Bid on anything and everything you like.

When it comes to going sale agreed, make your decision and do not go sale agreed on multiples, it's completely unethical. Pick one to go after.

We had it happen to us, and almost lost our onward purchase. Once we found out, bidder was removed from the process and things returned to normal with a hiccup and small delay. So stressful though.
