I have done the theory test on my computer and would like to start lessons. How much are they?

I paid €450 for the 12 lessons but that was in 2012, What user1998 said is probably more accurate for today

I did mine roughly a year ago. Was €560 for the 12.

Insurance on a vehicle for practice may be a bigger cost than the lessons.

if you're learning on a car that's already insured by Aviva, the Aviva Driving School is good value.

12 lessons + 6 months named driver cover for €575

OP, have you done theory test on your computer? Or have you actually passed theory test and you have a learner permit?

You need a learner permit to start taking driving lessons.

Typical price these days is 50 euro an hour.

Some places advertise you save a small amount if you book all 12 lessons but usually their prices are not competitive to begin with.

Better find a good instructor who will teach you and you feel comfortable with. Pay per lesson at least first couple of lessons.

Google ADI instructors in your area on RSA website.

I don't think the OP is coming back, 28 threads opened and only 37 posts.

Jumping on this, does anyone have recommendations for Instructors in the Dun Laoghaire or surrounding areas?
