Changing mph to kms

hi so my wife bought a 16 Hyundai Tucson but the Speedo and mileage is in mph and iv been told by main dealer it can’t be changed through settings on the steering wheel does anyone know anyway of changing it?

Should be able to change the speedo to km/h through the settings but mileage will probably have to stay in miles.

no i don’t have that units option

If the actual speedo gauge shows both miles and km, you should be able to change it in settings.

My father had a 17 plate Tucson which he kept in miles and used to wreck his head when I drove the car and changed it to km, so you can definitely change it

you definitely can’t on mine there only a few settings on it and iv tried them all can’t be changed and I rang Hyundai to see if a software update would work but they said it wouldn’t

Recently had this issue on a Renault, had to be hard coded by the dealer. Wasn't a big job.

I wonder is it something that those guys that map cars can do?

Very unlikely. If the system menus won't do it, that's it.
