Sealant or Tape

Hi,

What's the best way to properly seal a domestic fuel pipe. It's the pipe that connects my external oil tank to my boiler. I have turned off the oil at the tank isolation valve to stop the oil flow from the tank.

I noticed a small nick in the plastic pipe where oil was leaking recently and need advice or suggestions on what is the best material to use to seal/stop the leak.

Is there some type of tape or sealant that is recommended for this type of pipe where oil flows.

I've never seen plastic pipe used for diesel/kerosene!. Have you a photo?

There used to be a green one used. Strictly for underground, but not always adhered to.

It's the standard white PVC coated copper pipe tube, that has a small leak.

Inserts and joiner so. Make sure the repair is accessible for inspection on your annual service.

Perhaps get your service person to do it. They'll have a feel for the correct preparation and tightness.

yes and repair cant be underground without an inspection access as wearb said above

I will be able to use a compression fitting and inserts as it is very accessible and a very small break. Thanks for the advice and confirmation.
