Germany, after it was defeated in World War Two, was stripped of a lot of its eastern territory.

If it was OK for the Soviet Union to take East Prussia then why is it not considered OK for Israel to have the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem and to control the West Bank?

After all, from 1948 to 1967, Jordan ruled the West Bank and East Jerusalem and Egypt ruled Gaza but most of the Palestinians in those areas did not demand their own state.

The Germans who were forced to leave East Prussia had to accept that the homes that they had there were not theirs anymore. So why don't the Palestinians accept that they won't get back the homes that their grandparents had until 1948, when the Arab nations made their first attempt to destroy Israel? After all, when the Irish Free State was formed, many Protestant civilians and Catholic policemen and their families had to leave the new state because of being ostracised and being the targets of violence.
