    Hi all,

    I am interested in applying for Garda Recruitment 2025 and I have a questions related to visa requirements to join the force.

    My situation - I am a foreign national (Non-EU) and I am currently on a Stamp 4 visa (obtained after being on a critical skills permit for two years). I have been resident in the state for 4 years and was wondering if I am eligible to join under clause (d). Also, what does 'one year of continuous residence' mean in this case - Does it mean I should not leave the country for 365 days prior to the application?

    ___CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS AS PER 2024 RECRUITMENT_____

    (a) be a national of a European Union Member State;

    or

    (b) be a national of a European Economic Area State, theUnited Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or the Swiss Confederation;

    or
