I’m Dublin based . Builder on a renovation job is charging 85 euro per square metre for tiling labour only . It’s for kitchen floor and bathroom tiling , standard enough . Seems steep to me, what are people’s thoughts??

what type of tiles is it ??
smaller tiles normally means more cutting so more money.

    35/40€ per sqm labour only

    85 € is very expensive

F*** them.. I did a 5 sqm patio myself for 150 EUR and it looks perfect.

Tiling is a simple job, and most people can do it.

I paid similar to this for tiling recently. In my case, the cost was almost doubled because we're using a mosaic tile. Bu tmy understanding is that labour for very large tiles can be expensive too because they're heavy and require two people to lift safely. They can also require more precision for levelling etc because even being slightly out of level over such a large distance can cause uneven joins.
