Derelict Building Collapses in Ranelagh

    File under "you couldn't make this up" . One of several derelict buildings in Ranelagh that are owned by the Construction Industry Federation collapsed during rush hour on Monday. A cyclist and and a pedestrian reportedly narrowly avoided injury.

    Surprising how little press coverage given to what is basically a scandalous incident. The only news items I can find are the linked IT article and a report in "Scottish Construction Now" which notes the irony of the situation.

    The Irish Times article reports that "The terrace was until recently covered by a banner advertising a CIF construction safety campaign"
