Travel when WFH and there is no office

I'm in the middle of applying for a role where there is no office/company work location and it's 100% work from home. As everyone works from home there's a good bit of travelling around to neutral locations to meet colleagues. For anyone in a similar situation how does this work for you in terms of mileage, and in terms of travel time? Any work travel I've done before has always been calculated from the company office to destination so does it follow that in this scenario mileage is from home to meeting location? One of my reasons for asking is we're considering a move to the other end of the country and that would make me much farther away from my colleagues than I am now and I'm pre-empting any problems.

Most contracts state a “normal place of work” as this is generally needed for legal reasons. You need to get written agreement that required travel to locations other than your normal place of work will be covered via travel expenses.

If it's 100% WFH, why is there a need to meet in person?

Not sure it's really a relevant question to the question I asked but I'm happy to answer anyway - to collaborate in person occasionally/visit client sites etc. It's not an out of ordinary thing for the industry I'm, even when roles are 100% remote. The role is WFH because the company has decided not to have an office to save on costs.
