    Hi,

Returning customer here. I am looking at some of the higher end LG 55" TVs and looking for some thoughts here.

I know LG have recently launched their new 2025 series TVs and you have got the

    • LG OLED55C54LA at 1899.
    • LG OLED55G46ls at 1299 (from last year)

I have researched a bit here and presuming the G4 from last year is a better buy in terms of picture quality and bang for buck. It is also offered with a free soundbar (I don't need this but not sure you can offer something instead of it?).

Any arguments really for the C5 here or what does it offer over the G4 apart from being a newer model? The G5 is out of my budget. On the face of it the G4 looks a decent deal right now. I see the discount code has being discontinued on this TV but the price seems to have changed to reflect the discount anyway?

Any other thoughts on these? They would be some of the best 55 TVs you have? I am used to the LG interface and would like to stick to it. I have also used TVS in the 500 range so interested to see the difference in these higher end models and how they stack up.

    Cheers.

    Hi Henke.

    Many thanks for the post.

The NEW 2025 LG OLED 55C5 uses a newer processor the Alpha 9 gen 8.
LG have confirmed that the Virtual 11.1.2-channel upmixing it introduced with last year’s G4 will trickle down to this year’s C-series model, the C5.
There are also other additions to the LG AI TV which helps tailor the smart side of things more to your needs and viewing habits.
The G5 see the most advancements with increased brightness and more power processor and new panel technology (The G5 and M5 models have moved away from Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology and instead feature an advanced four-stack panel design).

There is also a new design for the remote control on the 2025 versions.

    The NEW 55C54 is priced at £1899 / €2199.
On the sterling pricing there is also a free USC9 soundbar. (Pending stock on soundbar - Due start of May)
If you are based in NI (UK) LG are running a cash back promo on this TV and you can claim back £300 direct from LG. You need a UK address and bank account for this.

The current 55G46 is priced at £1299 / €1698 and comes with a free LG US70 soundbar.

You are free to pay in whichever currency works out to be the cheapest for you.

The current sterling pricing on the 55G46 makes it very hard to pass up.

Thanks for coming back to me Kenny. The C5/G5 is out my price range currently and am wondering how does the G4 stack up on picture quality against the newer C5 which I know is newer ( but a tier level lower). Not too bothered about AI features etc.

Is there much difference in the new remote controls?

Yes its the price point of the G4 that is making me somewhat tempted. I am in the south (Donegal) but would be paying in sterling for a better rate. Is the soundbar bundled with this and not exchangeable for any other discount? Or any other deal / postage discount on this? Thanks again.

    Hey Henke.

Thanks for coming back to me.

The G4 will still be the brighter picture over the C5 and and give the better image.
Spec and performance wise they are very similar.

The free soundbar promos are subsidised by LG and unfortunately can not be altered unfortunately.

For LG's 2025 OLED TVs, the company is introducing a new remote control called the "AI Magic Remote," replacing the traditional Magic Remote. This new remote features a streamlined design, removing the number buttons, and incorporates an "AI" button for accessing AI features and voice commands. The AI Magic Remote also retains the pointer and scroll functionality of its predecessor.

Thanks Kenny. Yes the G4 at the current price looks like a good deal. I might go ahead with this. Is the listed price in sterling the best you can do on it? Is there a postage charge? I know last time I purchased on here yous kindly waived that?

Also, how long is delivery? I am away from Friday evening until Monday with the bank holiday here so if it does not arrive by then it can wait too. Look forward to hearing from you.

    Hey Henke.

I couldn't offer any better deal on the sterling price as at the £1299 also includes the free US70 soundbar and our VIP 6 year guarantee included free of charge on the TV.

I can wave the delivery charge again for you and ship it to you for free.

Delivery would be the standard 4-5 workings days but we would keep you in the loop as to when the delivery would take place.

I would say it would be after the bank holiday weekend as it wouldn't ship from us until Thursday as I need to get one in from our main warehouse first which takes 1-2 days depending on the time the order is placed as our warehouse shipment gets finalised off about 11:30am each day.

Thanks Kenny. Yes sounds good I’ll go ahead with that. If it doesn’t ship until Thursday that is fine I should be back by the time it delivers. Appreciate waiving the postage.

Please advise on ordering and postage etc. Thank you.
