Cooking with Cola?

I slow cooked a gammon joint in Freeway Cola for six hours the other day. I was surprised at how well it came out. I wrapped it in tin foil as soon as it came out of the pot and rested it in the fridge over night. It was by far the best ham I have ever had. Has anyone ever tried this?
