Is there any reason why this would not work?

Would it be difficult to ensure the tiles are level? No 'give' with contact adhesive, and no moving / adjusting possible after placement.

Should work just fine, so long as you're not walking on it. The tec7 won't look the same as grout. Might be a bit shiny.

Don't forget that the contact adhesive will have to stronger than the tile adhesive as its going to have less surface area to bond to as you won't be embedding the tile into it. Additionally, it won't be repositionable.

Have you many tiles to do? Just a case of replacing a few? Personally I wouldn't use it especially for grouting. It will become very dirty looking very quickly.

This 2 in 1is brilliant. Comes in white and grey.

might have to peg spacers with blue tack to buy first tiem contact with the tiles. Thanls a few of you hadn't thought about that.

My concern was tiles cracking with heavy lazy shoulders with the bit more give in plasterboard over adhesive but seeing none of you flagged that I'm a go

I replaced a few tiles in bottom of shower

Stuck and grouted them with white tec 7 , I'm no expert mind but they're alright since

Faster job, much lighter not to mention a more reliable seal which will last longer

    seal?
If you are relying on your grout being waterproof to have a waterproof bathroom then you are in trouble.

If the tiles are not somewhere where they will be stood on or bashed against, I wouldnt have an issue dot and dabbing them onto the wall with Tec7, but if they are going to take traffic or even contact, then they will crack if they are not fully supported by adhesive with no gaps.
