*** just realised i put this on Technology DIY forum. Could it be mived to Construction DIY forum please ****

I'm going to attempt to put a real stone face on a block wall over the Easter. I was going to use a regular cement mortar. But before I start, I have seen people using NHL lime instead. My understanding is lime is for solid stone walls to allow moisture in and out and for breathability. My question is because it's not a full stone wall, am I as well to use cement mortar?

    TIA
