Anyone interest in setting up a homelab?

Hi there, I am a tech geek who just moved to Ireland not long ago, but I have not found a forum or a group discussing about setting up homelab in Ireland. Is there anyone who is interested in these stuffs? Thanks for your reply:)

most of the home labs can just be emulated now, no real need for physical hardware. You can usually get them for free if you know where to look

Yeah, sorry. Terrible advice. I'm usually active over the https://www.boards.ie/categories/pc-building-upgrading section where the odd Plex/unRAID/Proxmox builds come up now and again. Tend to lurk the https://www.boards.ie/categories/htpc-media-centre section and some good info there on that side of things.

For home automation - https://www.boards.ie/categories/home-automation-internet-of-things-iot - Very active and you'll find good advice for home projects in there.

Point being, it's a little spread out but there is definitely plenty of local chat.

Definitely, but I'm more into setting up physical hardware at home, and that also ensures my privacy comparing to those public cloud services.
