JBL BAR 1300 soundbar port placement query

    I have a JBL BAR 1300 soundbar at home. It has a down firing subwoofer. Currently it is placed at location "Subwoofer" as shown in the attached picture. Both the TV and the soundbar is placed at the location "TV + Soundbar". I feel the dialogs are not clear and crispy, even if the bass is kept at 2 or 3 on the remote.

    May I know whether I should place the subwoofer of the soundbar at location 1 or 2 with the bass port  of the subwoofer facing towards the sofa? Or shall I place it at location 3 with the bass port facing towards the TV? Please see the attached pic.
