Lenovo stuck on boot menu screen

My son inherited a Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL from his Uncle. Of course it was a freebie with a problem like it has. It won't go past the Boot Menu in the BIOS. Here is a pic of it :

That is all it will do when it boots. I can get into the BIOS setup screen and it says that there is no hard disk installed. So I took out the old one, put in another one that I know is working and I get the same result. I changed the boot order to boot from USB. I tried a Windows 10 install USB but all that happens is it bootloops; startup-Lenovo splash screen - about 1 minute - goes black screen for about a second- and Lenovo splashscreen again, and keeps looping like that.

A long long time ago I had a Dell that would not boot out of the BIOS menu and it seems it was the SATA chip on the MB that was bad. Is this the same thing here, making the Laptop a writeoff.

Is disk recognized in BIOS>Information , it should read disk drive information
If it is, depending on BIOS version, you might try:
see if changing boot mode get you going (legacy vs UEFI)

on some BIOS you might also need to change secure boot status

No. It says no disk installed. And it doesn't want to know about USB by the looks of things, so I'm not sure if I could even try a BIOS update to see if it would solve my problem.

Did you try safe mode or booting from external windows disk which might give startup repair option?
