My heart kind of broke when "Sin" closed all these years ago now.

Index was quite respectable, is it gone MIA also?

Camden (aka Palace formerly) isn't terrible.

    District 8 also long gone.

I know Button Factory host occasional rave nights.

    So, is Index no more?

Has moved to the Academy. The physical space in the back of Opium has been renamed Block.

I don't think anyone involved with any of those clubs would ever agree with the term Rave.

Well, I guess as close to "rave" territory as one can get in Dublin.

"IrishTranceFamily" host some nights in Button Factory sometimes, I reckon they'd qualify.

John Digweed is playing index the end of this month also I think, an original rave producer.

Is this spot "Block" thought of as being a "dance club"?

Or anything else of note or consequence around DCC at the moment?

    Tramline looks interesting…….. never been.

I more meant "rave" is a term used by Americans and journalists only. Nobody else has used it since about 1991.

Tramline closed down quite some time ago.

It has been replaced by Soho which mostly seems to do handbag house.

The first Index location - 39/40 or Voodoo Lounge depending how long ago you want to remember it - is probably going to rebrand as something else; and there's also events on in RDS Simmonscourt but branded as "Silo" to try make people forget that Simmonscourt has terrible sound.
