I am after selling my psvr2 & all my handhelds . Swapped ps5 for ps5 pro . Still have my series X and a 3060ti build . After pre ordering the switch too. As a PC gamer with only 3 years I am not that knowledgeable about it .In an ideal world I'd like to move on my 3060ti build ( no point upgrading it I presume )and Series X but just looking at nvidia price increases on 5000 series is there any point ? no point me getting 4070 or 4090 is there either ? What would ye do wait for 6000 series or what ? But prob be 10 grand by then for a new graphics card 😂

The answer is you switch to AMD to get an actual graphic card at a reasonable (under the circumstances) price because Nvidia only care about selling AI cards these days with PC gamers being an afterthought at best (and that's before we talk about Nvidias downgrading of all graphic cards in the stack; a 5080 should be called at best a 5070 etc.). Gamers Nexus has a good video walking through showing how they have downgraded the graphic cards performance while increasing the prices.

Best of the current set of cards; if you want something closer to 3060 series in the stack the next lower set are expected in the next month or two (but performance and price are vague at best).

What about Asus ROG, my son has Asus ROG Strix RX 570 OC Gaming 8Gb, and I was planning to upgrade his card but not spending more than €220.

    Thanks
