I immediately dismissed this as an April Fool's when I heard it a couple of days ago but was then surprised to discover it was real after all!

I love the first one and it's up there in terms of QT's best IMO. I can't help but feel this is unnecessary but interesting that he had already planned to include Cliff Booth in the script for 'The Movie Critic', Fincher being involved is intriguing too.

I rewatched the "original" last week, and for me its up there with Pulp Fiction as QTs best.

Don't know what to make of this news.

On the one hand, Cliff is a great character and the setting is ripe for stories.

On the other had, QTs writing, direction and attention to detail are what make the first movie.
Anything following will likely imitate or disappoint.

I'm excited about this. QT's novelisation of the movie added extra dimensions to the story and suggested there's a lot more story to tell. Also, Fincher is no slouch as a director himself, even if his work has been patchier in recent years. He has nowhere near the gift for dialogue that QT has but if it's in the script…
