Removing ink from a PVC card

My friend wants to give out five business cards on PVC but he accidentally printed an extra number on the issue year. The machine for printing is broken. I was wondering if I could use any chemical to remove the extra number? The card isn't laminated so I'm not worried about damaging the card.
