Time to end our secret agreement with the USAF, Marines and Navy?

Since 2008, the US Government has based an operation and Forward Operations Base called the US Trip Support Alliance at both Shannon and Dublin. ( This agreement is much deeper and broad ranging than the usual random flights through Shannon, that the usual protesters latch on to)

This little-known agreement allows for the facilitating of aircraft such as C-130's and military B737 operating for the USAF, Navy and Marines. They are supported with fueling, Tech-Stops, crew changeovers and logistics.

Their website was active up to one week ago and has since been blocked in Ireland. However, their Linked page is still active.

Given the threats today, by Russia, towards Ireland, with respect to Trump "taking" Ireland, I strongly suggest that it is time this agreement comes to light and our government is encouraged to end their relationship with the US forces immediately.

I have watched countless military aircraft from the US transit through Shannon over the last three months, as I am an aviation enthusiast with a PPL. However, I have been shocked with what I have seen and learned while watching the Apron late at night at Shannon.

I have been researching the agreement over the last two weeks, reading mission statements, .pdf's online detailing operations etc, but have noticed that, over the last week, much of the online information, apart from the LinkedIn page, has disappeared.

If there are any journalists reading this, I strongly suggest investigating this agreement and subsequent operation. I would also recommend investigating the links between this entity, and the work that the Irish Defence Forces officials have done recently, with officials from the Pentagon, who helped devise the research papers recommending the proposed fast jet requirements and their proposed base at Shannon.

    Are we sleepwalking to disaster?
