Looking for accommodation in Westport or other options of travel

Hi

I'm a 23 year old woman looking for a place to stay in Westport on weekdays while I attend a farming course at MSLETB College. I am from Swinford area, and sadly the Met Eireann bus won't arrive to Westport on time for my course at 9.30. The course runs from around September 2025 to May/June 2026, but I can’t apply until I know I have somewhere to stay.

It doesn’t need to be anything luxurious, just something affordable and practical. Ideally, it would be within walking distance of the college.

I’d need access to: a bed and some storage space for clothes, Internet access (for coursework, etc.), A plug for charging devices, Bathroom access, Kitchen access (if possible)

If anyone knows of a room, shared accommodation, or any options that might work, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

Any advice or ideas of transport from swinford to Westport that would allow me to arrive in time for the starting time of 9.30 and be able to go home again after 2.45 would be greatly appreciated, as travel costs are covered by the course and this would save me some hassle and money. Perhaps contact some of the B&B's; going into off-season and weekdays will get relatively quiet for them. They may do a deal?

Message AirBnB hosts who let a room in their own house. They will often do a deal, much more so than those who let a whole house/apartment.
