Looking into getting a new safe as the list of guns I want becomes longer, that can secure to floor as it will be against an internal non load bearing wall, will also be secured to this but with significantly smaller bolts than an external wall.

Needs to fit my list of wanted rifles/shotguns so needs to hold 3rifles scoped and 3 shotguns with room for another 1-2 depending on future wants/needs.

Is there any issue with having multiple safes in same room?

can’t see there being an issue with multiple safes. Open season in nenagh have a deal on a 10gun safe will suit scoped rifles

Multiple safes is a good idea as can grow your space as need.

All safes can be mounted to wall or floor. worst case just drill new holes in the steel.

I prefer 1 big safe as reduce risk scractching barrels.

Ignore gun safe "gun size" instead look at actual dimensions. most 10gun gun safes may hold 5-7 comfortable

I like the following for price v quality

    Infac and SafeGuard

Lockaway are nice but their price is high and capactiy is for broom handles not guns. Their 14gun safe is same width as a Safeguard 7 gun safe which will take 7 guns.

Best option is set a budget and measure the size of location. Any good sun shop will help stick a few guns in to show how well they fit in

I have a safe guard 7 gun safe, it holds 3 scoped rifles and 2 shotguns very neatly. I have room for 2 more maybe 1 scoped rifle or 2 shotguns

I have a 12 gun infac. Holds 2 scoped rifles and 2 shotguns easily. After that it would get crowded.

Big difference space wise between a small scope on a CZ 22 and a big scope on a 308 target rifle so depends what you have or intend to get as well...

Has to hold 2x22lr scoped, 223 scoped and 308scoped also Air rifle scoped.

Can use my existing safe for shotguns to make it easier.

I currently have three Warmflow 2/3 gun safes. Primarily because they fit into the space that was available to me for securing them. To get two scoped rifles into one safe I need to "top & tail" them, it's still a bit fidgety getting them in.

I find it very useful to have multiple safes as it allows me to ensure that the ammunition and rifle bolts are never contained in the safe which house the actual rifle. A little paranoid, but ensures that extra time would be required to actually steal a functioning firearm from me. Hopefully the system will never be tested, it did however readily satisfy the Garda FO, who came to verify my security arrangements before Christmas. 🙂

I do the same, bolts and mags are kept in a separate safe. I get anal and have keys locked away in a diff safe yet again
