UCD historic map collection

    The UCD historic map collection is a favourite resource of mine but recently I've been having problems gaining access to the maps.

    I emailed UCD the other day and got a reply to say that this is due to system vulnerabilities they have identified and that they are now in the process of replacing it with a new and enhanced digital library which will be available in 2026.

    However, in the meantime they hope to provide alternative temporary access points for the map collection.

    I was trying to use this resource also - unfortunately there is no alternative access for the large scale Dublin maps I was trying to access.

    It seems strange that such a major resource can be taken offline with very little explanation - I wonder how someone researching for a thesis in UCD would be able to cope?
