DPF Soot Load

    Hello All,

I'm trying to fix my smax 2011.

Had several dpf warnings up including limp mode.

Eventually cleared them down using Forscan after I cleaned the dpf filter.

BBut I'm stuck with the soot load % at 300%.

I can't seem to reset it using Forscan.

Has anyone managed to clear this before?

    Cheers.

You need to successfully complete a forced regeneration after the DPF has been cleaned

The soot loading is a calculated value. What's the problem history, and what's the differential pressure in the DPF now ?

Most common causes for DPF issues on that era of Fords is the DPF vaporiser, and the pipes going from the pressure sensor into the DPF can crack. Cleaning it won't do anything if the problem isn't fixed

Check the differential pressure. Soot loading is only a calculated value over time

What is mileage of car? It's likely dpf is full of ash (ash does not burn off like soot) which cannot be removed, so dpf will need to be replaced. Also as said the small hoses that go from exhaust to differential pressure sensor go hard and break, but often because DPF is full and back pressure is high. Using forscan you can graph differential pressure while driving the car.
