Transition Year Work Experience

Our Son will be doing Transition Year next year. Any idea or pointers on what’s involved? Are there companies who take on students ideally in the Lucan area? I work in IT in a bank, I know they have some TY initiatives. Not sure if it’s for the full 2 weeks. So will suss that out. Just putting the feelers out at the moment.
