Chrono24 - positive experience

Had a great experience buying a Tag Heuer brand new off chrono24 - first time.

Ordered on Monday and wasn't in stock but was procured and shipped and i received this morning, mint perfect and with tags and stickers etc.

Took it to AD to cut rubber strap and double check serial no, warranty etc. as the price seemed too good to be true.

Tag Heuer chronograph extreme sport in black - rrp is eur8,500 and bought from a well reviewed dealer in Monaco for eur5,400 incl DHL shipping. Most other dealers were in the eur6,500-7,500 range.

Hi all,

Jumping on this thread as I've just bought a watch from Chrono 24.

Its from a jeweller on chrono so would it be advisable to bring it to an AD to ensure it's legitimate?

Do you have a reason to doubt its authenticity? If so get it checked within 14days of receiving it. If not wear and enjoy it .

I recently shepherded my BiL to get his first good watch via CHrono24 too.

Not a major purchase in the wider watch world, but orders of magnitude more than he had ever spent on such before.

It was a private seller with a good record. He haggled a little, got a decent discount and had the piece in his hand in about 3 days. He's delighted and already looking at vintage options for his next.

I'm a fan of Chrono24.

Is there anything to pay extra when a watch from SUI gets delivered bought from a seller there? Or standard 23% import tax?
Appreciate the info - I am assuming not but not sure when it is a more expensive item is there some price cap it applies to only?

23% Vat, the shippers handling charge and duty for an (assuming) automatic watch is charged via HS code 9102, I think that's 2.5% on top of VAT Inc price.

I was very confident about watch however the day i received it i took it down to AD to get the rubber strap cut and also checked out - they confirmed all was perfect.

When searching for my watch i kept it simple and searched for sellers within the EU - I would recommend doing that. I'm not sure if additional savings could be had outside the EU but I didn't want to risk import tax, watch being opened for inspection etc. I don't think i could have saved much more.
