Submitting a TAMS Claim

Hi All, a question for anyone that has submitted a TAMS Grant for a slatted shed. I’m ready to submit a claim for a new slatted shed. I have receipts marked as paid, highlighted bank statements for all payments, certs for concrete, reinforcement, slats, walls & shed, tax clearance numbers for everyone that I paid. Is there anything else I’d need off the top of yer head. I just want to get everything right from the start and not give a reason for it to be delayed at a later stage. Thanks

I'm sure you know but if you pass the "Validate application" then there's not much to worry about. Geotagged photos can't hurt the process even if not a requirement.

I didn’t know that, I don’t know much at all about it to be honest, just hoping to do it myself to avoid handing over more money to the advisor

Yeah so just tick the validate application box in the claim process and it'll tell you what's needed if anything. No need for advisor on the claiming imo

it’s just over 4 years ago since in finished the green cert so I think that covers it

Make sure the completed dimensions match the approved dimensions

how close do they have to be, my advisor told me to submit the exact measurements of what was built, it’s a bit higher than what what was on the drawings but nothing major

You have to claim the exact dimensions thst were built

The drawing measurements are your payment limit from the time of application, so you won't be claiming anything extra on the oversize if you get me. I don't see any harm in putting in the legit measures.

Entering the measurements is mainly for the scenario you built less than what you applied for, so they can pay you less.

perfect I’ll put in the correct ones so, there isn’t a big difference anyway, I’m at a standstill anyway because the lad that did the tank has an overdue tax bill so I have to wait for him to pay that before submitting anything to do with him, there’s always something, thanks

Apologies for piggybacking on this thread but can I ask if you need a safety course done if you're buying equipment?

I'm trying to price a milk cart, dehorning crate, and weighing scales at the moment. The plan is to submit an application soon.

But do you need a safety cert for those types of things? Or do you need one just for building work?

I think you’ll need it, a friend of mine got a Mulcher last year and had to do it, you’re putting ideas in my head now, I didn’t know you could get a grant for those things, I’d probably have to go in to a partnership because I’ve maxed out the young farmers grant with a shed
