Ok, I realise this is probably a very basic question but if i want to pay AVC's into my single pension scheme, how do I actually do that? As in, how do I instruct my payroll to deduct it at source? Do I have to involve a financial advisor or not? I know what I can afford to put in, I know it's in the parameters of what is permissable and I don't need the money right now so would prefer to keep it as my pension so I'm loathe to pay an advisor to tell me that. Do I have to?
