Contact from DCC - choice based lettings

    Hi, just curious for peoples opinion and input/experience.

    I have been on the council list for a number of years now, I have applied to numerous CBL properties, today was the first time I received communication from DCC (unsuccessful application).

    Is it normal to receive e-mails from DCC like this? I thought they only contact you if you were successful?

    As mentioned I have applied to maybe hundreds of CBL now but never had any communication.

    I'm in exactly the same boat, never happened before. One of the most disappointing experiences ever as at first I thought I'd been grated a place.

    Ive search all over and can't find any information on this. I'm curious if we have any overlap.

    The application the email told me I was unsuccessful with was for Stonemount Park, Ballyfermot , Dublin 10

    And my 3 areas are J, M & P

    I also got that email for Stonemount - disappointed I was unsuccessful but delighted to have the communication as it is better to know I feel.

    First time I ever received such a communication.

    Hi all, yes I found it strange alright :(

    When I saw it my heart skipped as I thought it was an offer, it wasn't for Stonemount though.

    I received (notification) for the areas; Thomas Street & East Wall, both new apartments.

    That's the first time I received any notification from (DCC).

    Fingers crossed for the future.
